Midlands Marketers who want to find out more about how Social Media and Web 2.0 are reshaping the world of corporate reputation management and marketing communications will want to attend the Chartered Institute of Marketing's seminar on February 27 in Birmingham.
Freestyle duo Simon Cox and Andy Wood will cover a range of hot web marketing topics, looking at a range of themes including how blogs, Wikipedia and other personal publishing platforms are giving customers unprecedented power to "rant and rave" about products and services.
Siobhan Browne, Chair of The CIM's Birmingham and Coventry Branch said: Social media or Influence 2.0, as it's becoming known, is probably one of the hottest topics not only in the marketing department, but also in the board room, where corporate and social responsibility is high on the agenda.
We felt that an event on this complex and multi-layered aspect of marketing was necessary. It promises to throw up some very interesting discussions and debates and we're sure it's going to draw a big audience.
"Digital Communications and the Impact of Web 2.0 on brands", organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing will be on Wednesday 27th February at 18.30 for 19.00.
Venue: The Priory Rooms, Bull Street, Birmingham, B4 6AF
Entrance, which includes refreshments, is £15 for CIM members, studying members and students or £20 all others. All welcome.
