Developer Mark Kelly is satisfying his wanderlust for polar adventure in bid to set a British first in the Canadian Arctic.
Uber-fit Mark has taken time out from his usual desk-bound job, as team leader in the Freestyle development department, and is now hot-footing it across a frozen 350-mile stretch of the Canadian Artic.
Freestyle's Mark, along with fellow explorer Mark Wood, is attempting to make the crossing in less than 25 days in an effort to link the two northernmost communities in the World - all unsupported, all on foot. And, if they realise their goal, it'll be a British first!
As the pair make their way across the legendary North West Passage, the two Marks will face freezing temperatures, arctic storms, large stretches of dangerous sea ice and a constant threat of Polar Bears.
Mark's 'walk' in the arctic danger zone is his latest in a series of icy endeavours. Last year he took part in a survey of Polar Bears in their natural habitat, providing much need scientific and observational information for research purposes.
