Double OIympic gold-medal winning swimmer Rebecca Adlington and her agents Elite Sport Properties (ESP) have picked Freestyle Interactive to design & build a new website for the 19-year old sporting heroine. Rebecca won two gold medals in the 400 and 800 metres freestyle in Beijing, breaking the longest standing swimming world record in the longer distance.

It's especially apt because Freestyle has a strong sporting pedigree with competitive swimming running through its core - both Founders swim competitively at world class Masters level and our Art Director swam at international level too. Rebecca is an incredibly inspirational personality with a fan base that goes beyond the swimming community - this makes the project all the more exciting from a social media perspective.
Her stunning performance in China has made her Britain's most successful swimmer of the last 40 years and a front runner contender in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
The new site, which is set to go live in early December with teaser content for the BBC Sports Personality award, will focus on Rebecca's concentration on London 2012, showcase life outside the pool and her desire to encourage young people to swim.
